2012 WPA World Junior & Wheelchair 9-Ball Championships Underway

Posted on by Alison Fischer

The best young players from around the world have come together in Willingen, Germany for the 21st Annual WPA World Junior & Wheelchair 9-Ball Championships.

Among them are six players representing the U.S. on the North American team, along with three players from Canada. The American players earned their spots on the team by placing at the 2012 BEF Junior National Championships in July. Click here to read more about the players.

Americans Briana Miller of Pennsylvania and Brendan Crockett of California are both returning members on the team, while others will be making their first appearance at the event. Miller previously had 2nd place and 5th place finishes, and is a hopeful to claim the girl’s title for the US…which was last achieved by Mary Rakin with back-to-back titles in 2006 & 2007.
