Two of today’s great masters of pool are set to go head-to-head at The Action Report’s TAR Studio in Las Vegas next week, January 17-19, as Dennis Orcollo takes on Darren Appleton in TAR 38. This three-day all-around challenge match will begin each day at 5pm Pacific/8pm Eastern on TheActionReport.com.
Dennis Orcollo, who holds titles including the US Open 10-Ball, WPA World 8-Ball, the Bigfoot 10-Ball Challenge, and is the current US Open One Pocket Champion, is considered to be one of the all-around toughest players to come out of the Philippines in recent years. This will be Orcollo’s second appearance on TAR, as his first was a battle against TAR mainstay Shane Van Boening in June, 2013, who walked away the winner.
With undoubtedly one of the most impressive resumes in pool today, Darren Appleton will be a worthy adversary for Orcollo. Since breaking into the international arena of professional pool, Appleton has made numerous appearances in the Mosconi Cup, won back-to-back US Open 9-Ball titles, a Derby City Classic 9-Ball title, and WPA World 9-Ball and 10-Ball titles, to name a few.
Both Appleton and Orcollo are class acts in the world of competitive pool, and will no doubt put on a stellar show for fans worldwide who will tune in to the live stream. The Action Report has more details on this exciting pay-per-view all-around event below…
