Mr. Cue Billiards in Lindenhurst, NY hosted some of New York’s top players in the Open/Pro 10-ball division of the Predator Pro/Am Tour‘s double points event on September 8, 2013. This event was the twelfth stop in the twenty-stop season of the Predator Tour, and featured top American player Dennis Hatch.
Dennis “The Hatchetman” Hatch is a world-class pro from Buffalo NY, and has been staying in the New York area in recent weeks to compete in a series of pro and open events. In 2009, Dennis made his mark in the international arena of pro pool after being named the MVP of Team USA during the Mosconi Cup, and has a long list of professional accomplishments on the green felt here in the U.S.
Most recently, Dennis placed second to Mike Davis in the 3rd Annual Ginky Memorial, where he played at a high level to outlast the high-caliber field of pro talent. The veteran pro followed up his impressive finish at the Ginky Memorial by capturing the 12th tour stop in dominant fashion.
“The Hatchetman” chopped up his competition with little difficulty, and came out with an undefeated victory. Hatch defeated Jerry Tarantola 8-0, Frankie Hernandez 8-3, and Tony Robles 8-4 to get to the finals.
Following his loss to Hatch, tour owner Robles would rebound to play a strong set against Frankie Hernandez, winning 8-5 to set up a rematch in the finals. In the final match, it was all Dennis, who continued to play remarkable pool en route to a 8-3 final scoreline Tony Robles, who currently holds the leading position in the tour’s pro division standings. Congratulations to Dennis Hatch on his impressive win, and increasingly strong play.
